If you’re the kind of plant parent who travels a lot or tends to be a little forgetful about watering, Hoyas are a great way to diversify your plant collection. As semi-succulents, they store water in their leaves, which means they can go longer between waterings.

Black Margins are a new variety of Hoyas that are very similar to Krimson Queens or Silver Splashes, except they have deep purple, almost-black, tipped edges where the Krimson Queen has pink or red. Like most Hoyas, the Black Margin benefits from regular pruning; trimming the leafy stems will keep it looking bushy and lush.

Care Level: 2 - Easygoing, a good match if you're still a newbie.

Likes: Bright indirect light, well-draining soil, regular pruning.

Dislikes: Overwatering, direct light, low light conditions.

Watering frequency: Every 10-14 days, less in winter.
