We recommend adding our Winter Plant Shipping Protection when ordering this during the winter months (November - April) if the order is shipping to an area that gets below 50 degrees. Add it here.
Fittonias, also known as Nerve Plants, are perennials whose elegant evergreen leaves have veiny (one could say nerve-like) silvery-white, pink, or red stripes. Fittonias are petite slow-growers, making them ideal for potted plants and small spaces. Nerve Plants are often seen inside terrariums, and for good reason; it’s possible they also get their nickname from how easy they are to distress.
Fittonias need exceptionally high humidity, but will deteriorate quickly if too moist. They need light to maintain their beautiful leaf variegation, but direct sun will scorch their leaves. Like a high-energy dog breed, fittonias are not for the faint of heart – but they make an unforgettable addition to your home if you’re up for the challenge.
