Nicknamed the “Never Never Plant,” the Amagris is a slow-grower, making it the perfect plant for tabletops or bookshelves. It’s a member of the Calathea family, but unlike its finicky cousins, the Amagris can tolerate longer periods between watering and can adapt to lower light conditions.

Care Level: 2 - Easygoing, a good match if you're still a newbie.

Likes: Medium to bright indirect light, humidity, well-drained soil.

Dislikes: Overwatering, direct sunlight, dry air.

Watering Frequency: Every 7-10 days, less in winter.
