The Calathea White Star makes an elegant and subtle addition to any room with consistent indirect light. As a prayer plant, its leaves rise and fall with the sun, and Calathea fans love the chic green-and-white striped leaves with hints of pink.

Like most Calatheas, White Stars are on the higher-maintenance end of the houseplant spectrum, but their loyal following will attest that they’re worth the work.

Care Level: 4 - Needs extra TLC, previous experience recommended.

Likes: Indirect light, humidity, consistently damp soil.

Dislikes: Direct light, low light, overwatering, underwatering, tap water, drafts/air vents.
