Calathea Medallions are native to tropical South American climates and thrive in environments with added humidity and indirect light. As prayer plants, their leaves rise and fall with the sun, revealing purple-hued undersides that are characteristic of Calathea plants.

Keep your Medallion out of direct sunlight to protect the delicate leaves, and wipe or spray them down periodically to discourage pests.

Care Level: 4 - Needs extra TLC, previous experience recommended.

Likes: Indirect light, consistently damp soil, humidity.

Dislikes: Direct light, low light, tap water, drafts/vents, overwatering, underwatering.

Watering Frequency: Every 5-7 days.
